___
Dobrinya Ivanov the Ukrainian research-based artist, is a member of the shortlist of the prestigious Pinchuk Art Prize who works on the project in collaboration with Raitis Hrolovičs, Latvian artists, who is fascinated by trying to find new meanings and words for things, to look at things from another side. This is the perfect conceptual match.
Raitis is working in Latvia, Dobrinya is working in Ukraine, and they are communicating online. According to the idea of their performance – Raitis will physically cross the border of states on foot because Dobrynya does not have such an opportunity today. You know, that for Ukrainian men who can become soldiers, our borders are closed. So, Dobrinya does not have this type of Freedom – to go wherever he wants. But in collaboration with Raitis, the idea could find its implementation. Because Art is a Freedom.
